About

I’m Caroline (she/her/hers), an LCSW therapist dedicated to helping you navigate life’s challenges and regain your sense of motivation and happiness.

Why Therapy?

In times of uncertainty, feelings of depression, stress, and anxiety can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re facing stress at work, in relationships, or at home, these emotions may seem insurmountable. But with the right support, things can improve, and I’m here to help.

My Experience

I’ve worked in the mental health field since 2010 across a variety of settings, including:

  • Community mental health counseling and casework
  • Employment programs providing counseling for people with disabilities learning job skills
  • Residential treatment for clients coping with mental health and substance use concerns, primarily schizophrenia and mood disorders
  • Private psychotherapy practices, where I specialize in serving LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities

During my graduate training, I worked as a support coordinator for clients with disabilities in the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). I also provided clinical therapy online and in-person for neurodivergent individuals and couples at Jespy House, a non-profit organization that supports adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

My undergraduate work focused on residential mental health and in-patient psychiatric care for adolescents.

Who I Work With

I now work primarily with adults 18 and older, focusing on anxiety and depression treatment through individual online talk psychotherapy sessions. My areas of expertise include supporting individuals who identify as neurodivergent (specifically ADHD and autistic) and/or are part of the LGBTQ+ community. As someone who is part of these communities, I understand the unique challenges these clients may face.

My Approach

I tailor therapy to fit your needs, combining evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with a collaborative and supportive style. We’ll use tools like worksheets, homework, and reflective prompts to help you process thoughts, build coping skills, and grow at a pace that feels right for you. I focus on creating a safe, affirming space where you feel comfortable exploring challenges and discovering new perspectives. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful change, honoring your unique experiences and strengths every step of the way.
